After graduating from Brock University in 1988 with his Bachelor of Science Degree, John Davis attended law school at Queen’s University where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree in 1991. John returned to Ontario and started the firm Avis Law, where he is now the Principal attorney.
John is primarily engaged as a trial lawyer. While his practice is focused on estate litigation and insurance law, he has extensive experience in administrative, municipal and personal injury.
John has appeared as counsel in the Ontario Court (General Division), Superior Court, Divisional Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of the United States.
With extensive trial and appellate experience in fiduciary litigation, John Davis represents trust companies, government agencies and individuals in matters involving:
